Project Management

Few complex programs or projects reach all the goals initially defined. Over time the parameters get adjusted; more money, more time, different deliverables. Very often this is a gradual process as the ambiguities between the requirements specification, the sales pitch of a supplier and the expectations of a client come to light.

In a well-planned project there are provisions for different interpretations of the scope defined in the contract made. However, as a project evolves these discrepancies are regularly deferred in the hope it will eventually solve itself. Also, supplier and customer tend to be overoptimistic with regards to the timetable. Issues relating to cost can be solved in a lot of different ways but when it comes to delivery dates it can quickly become highly critical.

While we do regular projects that need a strong lead we are specialized in turnaround of programs or projects in peril. We take responsibility from the moment we get parachuted in. After analysing the situation and agreeing on the new objective, we perform an immediate replanning and implement the necessary measures. From there on we tightly track progress even if it sometimes leads to micromanagement.
